Serious infections due to susceptible Strep, Pneumococcus & Staph strains. Staph infections resistant to other antibiotics.
Dosage/Direction for Use
AdultSerious infections 500 mg 3 times daily. More severe infections ≥500 mg 4 times daily. Childn & infant >1 mthSerious infections 30 mg/kg/day in 3-4 equally divided doses. More severe infections 60 mg/kg/day in 3-4 equally divided doses.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals w/ a full glass of water.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
History of GI disease, asthma. Liver & renal dysfunction. Pregnancy. Neonates.
